INGREDIENTS for the Berta Jay's
CRUCIFEROUS Vegetable Mix

1. Put into a 10 inch fry pan or a large saucepan:
1 cup vegetable broth -OR- 1 cup water
2. Cover & bring to the boil over medium/high heat.
3. To the boiling vegetable broth/water:
Add 2 cups onion -OR- a medium onion.
Cook for 3-4 minutes and cover. (I did 3 minutes)
Add to the cooked onions:
1-12 ounce bag of Trader Joe's Organic Broccoli Slaw
2/3 cup shredded carrots
Stir for 5 minutes on medium heat.

4. DON'T FORGET TO ADD a pinch of ground mustard -OR- mustard powder after !

5. Add a pinch -OR- 2 of salt
3-4 turns black pepper mill
1 – 2 tablespoon lemon juice (more if you want to)
6. Mix well.

ANOTHER OPTION for serving this vegetable mix:
simply place steamed broccoli on top of it.

My objective for this channel is to share with others what I have learned over the last 30+ years about living and eating healthier. I share my knowledge with my small circle of friends all the time. I am not a doctor, nor do I hold any type of medical degree, but I believe that my tried experiences may help someone else.

For over 30 years I have used every diet imaginable to lose weight, but I confess that I am now at home using the vegan lifestyle. I want to share what I have learned about eating and enjoying food. And, since I am still learning how to be more consistent with this lifestyle, I have decided to eat more healthily, realizing the weight will come off eventually. Though I have not reached my goal weight, I know that sharing with other people in front of a camera with help me to stay on .

I have, with the help of my husband of 37 years, raised 3 grown children. I will also share some shortcuts as well as some natural formulas I have used and still use for everyday problems.
